hello, we are planning to go to sri lanka by August. I would like to know if weligama would still be a good surfing spot by this time?? I am a beginner and I hesitate of going to Arugam bay because of the long travel time.
ReplyDeleteHello there .. I would recommend Arugambay for you guys even you are a total beginner. coz August is the east coast season & you can surf in Peanut farm ( few kms south Arugambay) , Okanda or even crocodile Rock is good for beginners. But you all in Sri lanka for short period , of course Weligama got some beginners swell & we do not get much rain during that time in south coast ( but it could be windy). let me know how long you plan to spend in sri lanka so I can give you some tips to organize your trip. aloha.
